Erika started her workers’ rights advocacy in 2007 when she joined the Law Offices of Steven Brown. Under the mentorship of attorneys Steven Brown and Daniel Goodkin, she learned to navigate the bureaucracy of the federal government in handling federal workers’ compensation claims with the Department of Labor. She has also handled many disability retirement applications on behalf of applicants with the Office of Personnel Management. She is experienced with disability retirement appeals with the Merit Systems Protection Board, as well as wrongful termination/adverse actions. Additionally, she has fought for the rights of complainants in discrimination cases with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

In 2011, she completed a Paralegal Studies Program with the University of California, Berkeley. In 2019, the firm became Brown & Goodkin and Erika was promoted to Supervisory Paralegal. She continues to advocate for the rights of federal employees. Erika enjoys spending her time with her daughter and Border Collies. She loves hiking, spending time outdoors in nature and phytography.
